By bringing innovation on board his flying sailboats, proud representative of the concepts of efficiency, sustainability and evolutivity through its research projects, L'HYDROPTERE 2.0 is committed to the energy transition

To stay in line with these values, L'HYDROPTERE 2.0 is firmly committed to a rigorous policy of social and environmental responsibility.

For this purpose, we provide companies, laboratories and consortiums with our 2 zero-emission test platforms (with velocity propulsion) resulting from a reconversion, to limit the carbon footprint of their R&D.

We want to use our sailboats to promote science, engineering and sailing among young people, especially young women, and to convey messages in favour of the energy transition and the preservation of the marine environment.

By being aware of the impact of our activities on the environment and society as a whole, we pay particular attention to every aspect of our operations :

Collaboration with local companies and suppliers (logistics, craning, rigging)
Optimisation of our business travels
Responsible management of our waste
Second life of materials and supplies for the renovation of our platforms and the implementation of experimentations (for example: reuse of decommissioned Airbus aeronautical carbon).

Launched in 1994, L'Hydroptère was designed and built using top-quality materials. As a result, its structure has remained intact over the years, enabling it to fly 3 m above the water in complete safety.The increased life cycle of goods is an essential component of the energy transition.

It's essential to give future generations all the keys they need to build tomorrow's world. And that means education. L'Hydroptère is the result of a great technological adventure, and involves many laws of physics. This makes it an ideal vehicle for teaching science, inspiring vocations and promoting sailing and water sports.
